The charity Tommy's have contacted me a few times over the years to be part of campaigns that they run. I always say 'yes' without hesitation because I think the work this charity does is simply amazing.
I have many friends (too many) who have lost babies and Tommy's do the crucial work to fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. We want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies.
Tommy's is the largest charity funding research into the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. We also provide information for parents-to-be to help them have a healthy pregnancy and baby.
I wanted to share a really special collaboration with you which deserves some additional exposure. It involves two fantastic bloggers who I have met in person and are both as lovely face to face as they look through the squares of Instagram! They are Gemma of Mutha.Hood and Elle Wright of Feathering an Empty Nest. To celebrate the launch of Elle Wright's book, Ask Me His Name, which was published in September 2018, they have launched a limited edition 'Strong Girls Club' tee in lilac. £5 from every sale going straight towards Tommy's and the work that they do.
In addition to the Strong Girls Club tee, I must say, Elle's book is a heartwarming and uplifting read. Elle Wright lost her son soon after birth. She wants to challenge the idea that a parent is only someone whose child is alive. Elle Wright talks about her son Teddy in this book with so much love, it is easy to understand why she wants everyone to get to know him and more importantly, remember him as she does.
There are many ways you can get involved with Tommy's and you can click here to make a donation. Or take a look at the Mutha.Hood tee here.
And finally, here is the link for Elle's book for yourself or perhaps pass it on to someone who needs it the most.
